Job summary

AMETEK Haydon Kerk Pittman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Engineer to resolve manufacturing and assembly problems, develop new processes, and support existing methods for a wide range of products. The role includes on-site troubleshooting, tooling development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The candidate should have strong GD&T, 5+ years in manufacturing, and experience with process validation, transfers, and cost-reduction initiatives,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in product transfer projects and process validation.
• Experience in line setup, equipment readiness, and BOM setup in ERP.
• Strong ability to read drawings and GD&T skills.
• Experience with milling, turning and grinding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings.
• Analyse drawing specs and develop tools, processes and parameters.
• Plan and execute product transfers from other sites to local production.
• Develop and validate processes, tooling and documentation for transfers.
• Drive process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Mentor technician/engineering operator and provide guidance.
• Manage BOM certification and technical drawings review for readiness.
• Other duties as assigned.
