Job summary

AMETEK Haydon Kerk Pittman is seeking an ME Engineer to resolve manufacturing and assembly problems, develop new processes, and support existing processes for a broad product range. The role covers fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of electromechanical systems.

You will read drawings, transfer products between sites, validate processes, and drive cost reductions while mentoring technicians and ensuring safety and quality across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in manufacturing, mechanical engineering or technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with product transfer projects and process validation.
• Experience line setup, equipment readiness and BOM setup in ERP.
• Lean manufacturing experience; ability to read drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings.
• Analyse specifications and develop tools, processes and parameters.
• Plan and execute product transfers between sites.
• Develop and validate processes, tooling and documentation.
• Drive process optimization and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transfers.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor technicians and provide technical guidance.
• Manage documentation including BOM certification and drawings review.
