Powin Steel Industries is seeking a motivated Production Operations Intern to join our team in Melaka. You will assist in data entry and recording of production activities, from raw materials to finished goods, while supporting basic quality checks and material handling tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Basic knowledge of quality control and measurement techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Comfortable handling materials, labeling, and assisting in warehouse operations.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to participate in site inspections and learn practical production processes.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data entry and recording of production activities, from raw materials to finished goods.
• Support basic quality checks, including measurement of thickness and dimensions.
• Help with raw material handling tasks such as coil labeling, identification, and arranging raw materials and finished goods.
• Check and verify goods loaded onto lorries to ensure accuracy with the Delivery Order (DO).
• Participate in monthly stocktake activities and assist in reconciling inventory records.
• Maintain accurate and organized production records for daily operations.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure installation work complies with drawings and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the production and quality teams on ad-hoc support tasks.
