Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Malaysia seeks a production supervisor responsible for identifying issues in production and providing daily support to all cross-functional teams to uphold operating standards.

You will supervise production personnel, prepare schedules, lead daily CFT meetings, drive improvements in yields and downtime, train staff, manage scrap reduction, ensure SOP compliance, and advance Kaizen/LSS initiatives with at least two cost-saving projects per year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production personnel and prepare effective production schedules.
• Lead daily CFT production meetings and report on yields and downtime.
• Maintain records of data attendance and train staff under supervision.
• Declare scrap in real time and drive scrap reduction.
• Coordinate with equipment and process teams to maintain quality.
• Close work orders within 14 days and drive MLT reduction.
• Meet production pack plans and liaise with planners.
• Ensure SOP compliance to achieve production objectives.
• Escalate abnormalities in production and quality within 30–60 minutes.
• Analyze DL staffing and back-fill shortages after management approval.
• Maintain 5S programs and prepare operator training.
• Support safety objectives and purge/stop & release shipments.
• Attend Kaizen/LSS activities and complete ≥2 cost-saving projects annually.

• Supervise effective working of production personnel and prepare effective production schedules and ensure compliance to all company policies.
• Lead CFT production meeting daily (GYAT) and provide feedback on production performance, yields, downtime etc., and drive for improvements.
• Maintain records of all data attendance and provide effective training to all staff under his/her supervision.
• Declare all scrap on a real time basis and drive scrap reduction efforts.
• Coordinate with equipment and process teams and ensure compliance to all protocols and maintain product quality.
• Close all work orders within 14 days and drive for MLT reduction.
• Meet the production pack plan as provided and discuss with planners if the plan given is not appropriate.
• Ensure compliance to all SOPs to achieve all production objectives and provide appropriate feedback to all employees.
• Escalation for all abnormalities in production and quality issues arise in production within 30 to 60 minutes.
• Analyze DL staffing requirements and back-fill shortages after obtaining approval from management.
• Maintain and provide support to all 5S programs and prepare training programs for all operators.
• Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives.
• Support on purge notice, stop & release shipment and NCMR approval.
• Attend to kaizen/LSS activities and complete at least 2 cost saving projects per year.
