Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a facilities layout engineer to design and implement efficient layouts for manufacturing facilities in Penang, Malaysia. You will place machines, storage areas, jigs, and key pathways, optimize material flow, improve storage utilization, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on the production floor.

You will collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, QC and Facilities teams, lead layout change communication, validate feasibility onsite, and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong AutoCAD skills to develop, modify and maintain production machine layouts.
• Ability to read and interpret layout drawings.
• Fresh graduates welcome; relevant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed machine layouts, storage areas, jigs, pathways and other facility components.
• Optimize material flow, storage utilization, and safety/compliance on the floor.
• Perform onsite layout feasibility assessments with Production and Facilities teams.
• Lead change communication and ensure smooth implementation of layout modifications.
