Job summary

Renesas Electronics Malaysia is seeking a layout design engineer to plan and implement efficient factory layouts, placing machines, storage, and pathways for optimal flow and safety.

You will work with Facilities, Production, Maintenance, QC, and other teams to validate feasibility, communicate changes, and ensure successful implementation of layout modifications. Fresh graduates are welcome, with experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. Hons) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong AutoCAD skills with the ability to develop, modify, and maintain production machine layouts.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting layout drawings.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient layouts for manufacturing facilities, including placement of machines, storage areas, jigs, pathways, and other components.
• Create detailed plans for facility layouts to optimize flow, storage utilization, and safety/compliance.
• Conduct onsite assessments with Facilities and machine owners to validate feasibility and reflect operational constraints.
• Lead and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, QC, and Facilities teams to communicate layout changes and ensure smooth implementation.
