Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/DFM Engineer to execute DFM analysis for PCB & PCBA, review data packs, and report findings to internal teams and customers. You will perform automated and manual DFM analyses, generate accurate reports, and help improve DFM processes while adhering to safety, DFx guidelines, and cross-functional collaboration.

Willingness to relocate to Penang is required; strong communication and problem-solving skills across teams are

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in DFM analysis or PCB/PCBA manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of PCBA reliability concepts and failure analysis methods such as EDX, SEM and FTIR.
• Experience with SMT process development and evaluation.
• Familiar with problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis, and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of packaging technology, chip-scale packaging, molding process, or System in Package is a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to work across cross-functional teams; willingness to relocate to Penang.

Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented DFM Engineer to join our team at Jabil Circuit, Penang. In this role, you will be responsible for executing DFM analysis for PCB & PCBA, identifying findings that do not meet Jabil's DFx rules and guidelines, and communicating results to internal teams and customers.

What You'll Do

Review product data packages to ensure sufficient information is available for DFM analysis.

Perform automated and manual DFM analysis in compliance with site work instructions and global DFx procedures.

Generate accurate and timely DFM reports using Jabil's Digital DFX KnowledgeBase collaboration tools.

Communicate DFM findings and issues with internal teams and customers effectively.

Participate in DFM team improvement projects and support the ME Department in achieving KPIs and goals.

Adhere to all safety, health, and company security policies.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in DFM analysis or PCB/PCBA process and manufacturing.

Working knowledge of PCBA reliability concepts and failure analysis techniques such as EDX, SEM, and FTIR.

Experience with SMT process development and evaluation.

Familiarity with problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis, and statistical analytical tools.

Knowledge of packaging technology, chip scale packaging, molding process, or System in Package construction is an added advantage.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

A collaborative team player who can work effectively across multiple cross-functional teams.

Willing to be based in Penang.
