Responsibilities

• Repair and sustain equipment as an equipment engineer.
• Own, sustain, troubleshoot, repair and optimize assembly equipment to hit uptime, yield, quality, and productivity targets.
• Drive reliability and process improvements via RCA, preventive maintenance, failure analysis, SPC, FMEA, and CI.
• Lead and manage a team of technicians in manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure production schedules meet safety and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment performance, troubleshooting, and repair to sustain efficiency.
• Establish training and certification plans for ramp requirements.
• Supervise shift schedules and PTO management to ensure staffing.
• Act as first responder to resolve operational, safety, and security issues.
• Develop tactical plans to streamline workflows and coordination.
• Collaborate with engineering to address factory health and operational issues.
• Drive team results via goal setting and performance management.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Manager, you will lead a team of engineer/technicians responsible for overseeing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair within Intel's manufacturing facilities. You'll play a pivotal role in driving safety, quality, and efficiency across production, ensuring the team meets critical goals and delivers results. Your contributions will directly impact factory performance and operational success, enabling Intel to maintain its leadership in innovative manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to repair and sustain machine as an equipment engineer
• Own, sustain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize Assembly manufacturing equipment to achieve equipment uptime, yield, quality, and productivity targets while supporting production ramps and tool qualifications.
• Drive equipment reliability and process improvements through root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, failure analysis, SPC, FMEA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead/coach and manage a team of technicians responsible for manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining stringent safety and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment performance, troubleshooting, and repair to sustain operational efficiency.
• Establish and implement training and certification plans to equip the team with the necessary skills for production ramp requirements.
• Supervise shift schedules, including workstation assignments, rotations, and PTO management, to ensure optimal staffing coverage.
• Act as the first responder to resolve operational, safety, and security issues within assigned toolsets or areas.
• Develop and execute tactical plans to streamline workflows and improve coordination between groups and divisions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address factory health challenges and operational issues.
• Drive team results through effective goal setting, performance management, and leadership development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations or equipment management OR Master's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience
• Minimum 3 years of equipment maintenance/repairing experience.
• Proficiency in equipment monitoring, scheduling, and maintenance practices.
• Experience in manufacturing quality assurance processes and practices.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and operational safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop training plans and manage team certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing diverse teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with excursion management and process optimization strategies.
