Job summary

Emerson is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers in a fast-paced production environment. You will drive manufacturing excellence, lead cross-functional problem solving, and support new product introduction and localization initiatives.

You will develop processes, mentor staff, and champion safety and environmental health initiatives while delivering quality improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering as specified.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing engineering environment, preferably in control valve, industrial equipment, or precision manufacturing.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, engineering documentation, and process development.
• Experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, and manufacturing docs.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers to provide effective technical support to Operations and drive manufacturing excellence.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Machining, Welding, and cross-functional teams to solve technical and production challenges.
• Drive product localization initiatives, ensuring successful technology transfer, process capability enhancement, and operational readiness.
• Lead continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction projects to improve manufacturing performance.
• Monitor and analyze key manufacturing metrics such as yield, cycle time, downtime, and quality performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities with regional teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
• Develop manufacturing processes, procedures, fixtures, and tooling solutions for safe, efficient, high-quality production.
• Provide technical coaching, training, and development opportunities to strengthen engineering and operations capabilities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support ESH initiatives.
