Job summary

Samtec Asia Pacific (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and develop automation, tooling and fixtures for high-volume production in Malaysia. This role blends independent work with collaboration across multifunction teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

You will leverage SolidWorks, manage project schedules, review costs, ensure compliance with OSHA/ANSI standards, and drive continuous improvement from concept through integration into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in automation design, high-speed assembly or tooling.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical elements of manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic tooling using CAD.
• Collaborate with internal customers to provide design support.
• Validate product quality and process reliability through project qualifications.
• Develop detailed project schedules and report progress to management.
• Evaluate suppliers, quotations, and control project budget.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/ANSI and local standards.
• Lead meetings to review status and changes.
