Job summary

HP in Malaysia (Selangor) is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize production processes for parts and assemblies. You will develop cost estimates, capacity models, and production layouts, working with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and quality.

Ideal candidates have a strong engineering background, 4–6 years of experience, and knowledge of process tooling and Six Sigma tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience.
• Experience in starting up a new production line is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designs engineering solutions for manufacturing of parts and assemblies.
• Develops cost estimates, capacity models, and production layouts for new products.
• Collaborates with management, and external partners on process compliance and improvements.
• Represents the manufacturing engineering team in major projects.
• Provides guidance to junior staff and acts as SME for process & tooling.
• Determine optimum process settings to ensure high quality products.
• Prepare analysis reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to meet cost targets and delivery requirements.
