Job summary

HP in Penang is seeking a Process Engineer for PEN Assembly to design and implement manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize cost, capacity, and layouts while maintaining quality and standards.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 4–8 years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills in English and local language. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Typically 4–8 years experience.
• Experience using engineering tools and software to design and automate manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of material properties and hardware/electrical component design.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in English and local language.

Responsibilities

• Designs engineering solutions for the manufacture of parts and assemblies.
• Develops cost estimates, capacity models, and production layouts for new products.
• Collaborates with management and partners to ensure process standards and issue resolution.
• Leads project teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality manufacturing solutions.
• Represents the manufacturing engineering team for larger development and manufacturing projects.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff.
