Job summary

HP in Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer who will design manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts, assemblies, and final products.

You will develop cost estimates, capacity models, layouts, and tooling recommendations, collaborate with internal and external partners, lead project teams, and mentor staff to deliver cost-effective high-quality manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Typically 4-8 years experience.
• Using engineering tools and software packages to design and automate manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design.
• Using empirical analysis, modeling and methodologies to validate manufacturing process and tooling design and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and local language.
• Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.

Responsibilities

• Designs engineering solutions for manufacturing of parts and final assemblies based on established principles and requirements.
• Develops cost estimates, capacity models, time standards, layouts, and tooling recommendations for new product introductions.
• Collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced partners on process compliance and issue resolution.
• Leads project teams of manufacturing engineers and partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions from NPI to end of lifecycle.
• Represents the manufacturing engineering team for all phases of large and complex development and manufacturing projects.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
