Job summary

Berjaya CKE International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Costing Executive to support its growing manufacturing operation in Negeri Sembilan. You will focus on costing products, maintaining BOMs, and driving profitability analyses within ERP, ensuring accurate cost data for management decisions.

The role involves cross-functional partnership with Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Finance, with ERP-driven costing improvements and ongoing process enhancements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cost management accounting, accountancy or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Exposure to ERP systems; Epicor ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Calculate manufacturing costs for products.
• Maintain systematic product costing structures and accuracy.
• Analyse product profitability and support pricing decisions.
• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc costing reports; variance analyses.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Costing Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate product costing and supporting management with reliable financial information.

Manufacturing Costing

• Prepare, maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Calculate manufacturing costs for products
• Maintain systematic product costing structures
• Ensure costing information remains accurate and up-to-date

Product Pricing & Profitability

• Compute manufacturing costs for customer quotations
• Review selling prices against product costs
• Analyse product profitability
• Recommend pricing updates where appropriate

ERP Costing Management

• Create and maintain:
  • Product Codes
  • Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Product Costs
  • Selling Prices
• Ensure timely and accurate updates within the ERP system

Cost Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc costing reports
• Perform standard cost versus actual cost variance analysis
• Identify costing discrepancies
• Recommend and implement corrective cost adjustments

Business Partnership

Collaborate closely with:

• Production
• Purchasing
• Engineering
• Finance

Note: To ensure costing information accurately reflects manufacturing operations.

Inventory Support

• Participate in quarterly stock counts
• Support annual physical inventory exercises

Continuous Improvement

Contribute ideas to improve:

• Costing processes
• ERP utilisation
• Financial controls
• Operational efficiency

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Cost Management Accounting
  • Accountancy
  • Finance
  • Equivalent disciplines

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Experience in manufacturing costing and BOM management
• Exposure to ERP systems is essential
• Experience with Epicor ERP will be an added advantage
