Job summary

Inhesion Industrial (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. You will manage product costing, cost analysis, pricing support, and cost reporting to aid business decisions.

Approximately 30% of your time will be spent on the production floor validating data and improving costing accuracy. You will collaborate with Sales and Production to ensure quotations are supported by reliable cost data and that cost information is accurately reflected in our ERP

Qualifications

• Good understanding of cost accounting principles including standard costing, absorption costing, inventory costing and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Excel with ability to use formulas, PivotTables and lookups.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and evaluate product costs, including raw materials, direct labour, and manufacturing overheads.
• Prepare and maintain standard cost sheets and the Master Price List (MPL).
• Compare standard costs against actual production costs and investigate variances.
• Prepare cost reports, including cost breakdowns, variance analysis, and trend reporting for management.
• Spend approximately 30% on the production floor to validate costing data.
• Collaborate with Sales and Production to obtain cost information and resolve discrepancies.
• Support costing data integration into the ERP system and participate in ad-hoc analyses.
