Job summary

Dexcom Inc. is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver structured on-the-job training across multiple manufacturing lines in Penang, Malaysia.

You will conduct Quick Start onboarding and hands-on training, guide documentation requirements, and assess process qualifications with supervisors to ensure compliance. The role includes delivering cross-training, classroom sessions on GDP, and supporting audits, PV activities, and EHSS initiatives.

• Knowledge of GDP and Good Documentation Practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Structured On-the-Job Training (SOJT) for new hires.
• Lead Quick Start onboarding sessions and hands-on training for manufacturing processes.
• Guide employees through process documentation requirements and qualifications.
• Perform observational assessments of process qualifications and review outcomes with supervisors.
• Deliver cross-training and re-training programs to maintain qualifications and compliance.
• Facilitate compliance training on deviations, change orders, NCMR, and NCE.
• Lead classroom training on gowning procedures and GDP.
• Perform spot audits to monitor training compliance and assist in audits and PV activities.
• Coordinate training logistics and maintain training records.
• Support EHSS initiatives and participate in improvement tasks.

Meet the team:

The Training team is responsible for delivering comprehensive manufacturing process training and related learning programs. The team ensures employees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to perform their roles effectively, maintain quality standards, and support operational excellence.

Where you come in:

• You will conduct Structured On-the-Job Training (SOJT) for new hires, including leading Quick Start onboarding sessions and delivering hands-on training for manufacturing processes.
• You will guide employees through process-related documentation requirements and support them in achieving process qualifications.
• You will conduct observational assessments to evaluate manufacturing associates' process qualifications and review assessment outcomes with supervisors for acknowledgment and completion.
• You will deliver cross-training and re-training programs to help employees develop new skills, maintain qualifications, and remain compliant with established procedures.
• You will facilitate compliance training for manufacturing associates on topics such as Deviations, Change Orders, NCMR, and NCE.
• You will lead classroom-based training sessions on manufacturing-related topics, including gowning procedures and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• You will perform spot audits to monitor training compliance and support manufacturing teams in maintaining adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
• You will assist Operations with audit activities, process validation (PV), product qualification, and product verification initiatives as needed.
• You will conduct manufacturing process tours for training, onboarding, and audit-related activities.
• You will work across multiple production areas and manufacturing lines to support business and training needs.
• You will provide hands-on production support when required to ensure operational continuity and team success.
• You will support Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) initiatives, including quiz administration, safety Gemba walks, and resolution of training-related issues.
• You will participate in task forces, committees, and continuous improvement initiatives to help resolve manufacturing-related challenges.
• You will coordinate training logistics and provide support for training resources, electronic devices, and learning tools.
• You will maintain accurate training records and ensure training activities are completed in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
• You will perform additional duties and projects as assigned to support the training and manufacturing organization.

What makes you successful:

• You bring hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, or regulated environment and have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
• Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in GMP environment
• You have the ability to effectively deliver structured on-the-job training, hands-on instruction, and classroom-based learning to employees with varying levels of experience.
• You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage diverse audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• You have a solid understanding of quality systems, compliance requirements, and manufacturing best practices, including Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• You demonstrate strong observational and coaching skills, allowing you to assess employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and support qualification activities.
• You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple training activities, documentation requirements, and priorities simultaneously.
• You are adaptable and comfortable working across multiple manufacturing areas, production lines, and shifting business priorities.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and can identify training gaps, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and can effectively maintain training records, reports, and documentation.
• You are committed to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) requirements.
• You work well independently while also contributing as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
