Job summary

Accenture Malaysia is seeking an HR Services Operations (Payroll) Associate who will manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned countries within a client-facing BPO environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across multi-country payroll scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience, preferably with exposure to multi-country operations across SEA and ANZ.
• Strong proficiency in Mandarin and English due to supporting markets including China.
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP); hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, ADP, Oracle, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.
• Demonstrated agility in managing shifting priorities, service volumes, and country‑specific compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly payroll cycles focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Reconcile payroll data across finance and HR systems for consistency and audit readiness.
• Handle complex payroll queries and escalate issues to internal or client stakeholders.
• Prepare statutory filings and support audits and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with country HR teams and third‑party vendors to ensure alignment on inputs and timelines.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and service delivery.
• Maintain documentation and controls in line with client policies and regional regulations.
