Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Demonstrated experience in localization, translation, or content adaptation, preferably within social media, e-commerce, or user-generated content domains.
Strong proficiency in Mandarin and Malay, with excellent writing and editing skills.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate translation and localization of content between Mandarin and Malay, while preserving the original meaning, tone, and intent.
Ensure all localized content is culturally appropriate, contextually relevant, and aligned with Western audience expectations.
Adapt informal language, idiomatic expressions, and emerging trends into equivalent, natural English expressions.
Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to maintain high standards of linguistic accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and review teams to identify and resolve linguistic and contextual discrepancies.
Manage assigned tasks efficiently, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with project deadlines.
Adhere strictly to project-specific guidelines, terminology databases, glossaries, and style guides.
