Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications as listed: degrees in Mandarin or related field; teaching certificate with Mandarin teaching experience; good CGPA; language qualifications (MUET/IELTS).
• Proficiency in pedagogy and ability to teach Mandarin language.
• Ability to use standard digital tools for teaching and learning.
• Clear and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• To conduct lectures/tutorials/practical sessions in accordance with endorsed syllabus with a minimum of 18 hours per week.
• Assign coursework to students, check and assess the assignments.
• Prepare reports of students’ abilities and progress for the Director or Head of Department.
• Vet test or examination questions and assess the answer scripts.
• Invigilate examination sessions when needed.
• Prepare students’ attendance reports for the Director or Head of Department.
• Attend meetings related to teaching and learning.
• Attend workshops whenever required.
• Staff are bound by IIUM secrecy codes as stipulated in IIUM rules and regulations.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
