Job description

This role will manage supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment, to optimize resource utilization, minimize costs, and meet customer demand. The role involves planning, organizing, and controlling supply chain activities to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Your tasks

1. Develop and lead various functional teams, including warehouse staff, in-house logistics, SCM sourcing, and planning guided by R&S values.
2. Plan and coordinate logistics operations, encompassing transportation, distribution, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment, to consistently meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.
3. Contribute to the execution of SCM sourcing and planning activities, including supplier coordination, production scheduling, and demand alignment, to optimize material flow and resource utilization.
4. Optimize supply chain and warehouse operations, including layout, storage, and processes in alignment with R&S strategy to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and improve service levels.
5. Work within a matrix organization to strategize and drive continuous improvement programs in collaboration with stakeholders across the R&S organization.
6. Monitor and track shipments, orders, and inventory levels using logistics management systems or software, ensuring real-time visibility and control over logistics operations.
7. Manage transportation activities, routing, scheduling, and freight planning, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers or distribution centers.
8. Implement inventory management techniques, such as ABC analysis and cycle counting, to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience in Electronics industry or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years in one of SCM leadership functions.
• Proven experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or transportation management, with a track record of achieving results and improving efficiency.
• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and accountability.
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and processes, including transportation modes, warehousing operations, and inventory management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize logistics operations and solve logistics challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate with stakeholders, and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Experience in operating and adhering to requirements of Malaysia custom bonded program such as LMW license.
