Job Description
STPG Tactical IE Manager is responsible for driving short-to-mid-term operational optimization, cost efficiency, and supply alignment across NAND and SSD manufacturing. This role partners cross-functionally with POM, GSC, EEM, PDT, and Manufacturing to translate business demand into executable wafer, capacity, and cost strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead with urgency in tactical execution with passion for excellence on tactical IE and inventory management, identifying risks and providing resolutions and mitigations.
- The material in scope can include Test Chip Vehicle (TCV), New Production Introduction (NPI), or High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). Cross-functional teams in scope include FAB, BE, PE, GSC (POM, TSP, TDP, SSP), GQ, and BU.
- Ensure product and manufacturing datasets are set up by partners prior to demand line loading and updated when changes are required.
- Drive or engage cross-functional workstreams to manage material supply throughout the NPI phases with alignment to PDTL/EEM, lead with urgency, and establish business processes and automation to deploy the right material at the right time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to install correct material disposition, control handling of material exceptions or engineering builds, and release QA Hold material on time.
- Act as an SME for investigating and debugging logistics or setup issues related to material within manufacturing lines.
- Provide timely high-level updates to management on NPI/HVM/DIO/NRG status, issues, and recommendations.
- Manage team member performance, coach, and provide career development.
- Empower team members and promote teamwork, documentation, and data-driven decision making.
- Align internal strategies and communicate line of sight to corporate strategic objectives.
AI/ML Expectations
- Extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages, applying data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques.
- Experience with or desire to learn machine learning and other advanced analytical methods.
- Experience or desire to learn generative AI and large language models (LLMs) and using these tools to develop agentic workflows that improve productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus.
- Achieved at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience working on product planning in a sophisticated technology company.
- Deep understanding of product planning from Development to New Product Introduction to High Volume Manufacturing to End of Life.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills in cross-functional setups.
