Job summary

AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad is seeking a senior Risk Management professional to develop, implement and update risk policies, frameworks and procedures across the organization. The role emphasizes establishing robust risk governance and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The incumbent will monitor effectiveness, investigate incidents, report to senior management and the Board, and advise business units on risk controls.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk governance and the overall risk management process.
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in Operational Risk Management, which may include BCM, internal control and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and update risk management policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure the implementation of risk frameworks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and/or manage identified risks.
• Investigate operational risk incidents, quantify potential impacts, and propose corrective measures.
• Manage, analyse and report operational risk incidents and monitor the implementation of mitigation actions until closure.
• Manage incident escalation and reporting to Management, the Board, AFS Japan and regulator (BNM) as necessary.
• Review proposals to Management on products, services and system procurement.
• Pro-actively identify and assess strategic risks, for mitigation and monitoring by the respective Business Units.
• Provide advisory and guidance to Business Units on self-identification of risk, assessment and control measures.
• Regularly report on risk management activities, outcomes and status to Senior Management and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, training and awareness to staff on incident management and reporting requirements.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, particularly with Business Units.

Professional Qualification/Certification in Enterprise Risk Management or equivalent, or member of relevant professional body is an added advantage.
