Job summary

FWD Malaysia is seeking a senior risk management professional to lead and support the Risk Management & Compliance function, driving advanced risk management frameworks and robust controls. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in risk management, with 4 years in a Senior Executive/Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (BNM) and enterprise risk frameworks, especially ORM and ORR.
• Familiar with BNM regulatory requirements, governance standards, and reporting (e.g., ORR).
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and compliance monitoring systems.
• Knowledgeable in insurance/takaful operational processes, fraud risk and privacy impact analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with BNM and other regulatory guidelines, including timely reporting and remediation of issues.
• Support in overseeing risk assessments for new products, projects, outsourcing arrangements, and digital initiatives.
• Support in facilitation of RCSA, ICP, KRIs, Risk Incidents, and Issue Management processes across the organization.
• Support in overseeing operational risk profiling and ensure timely identification, assessment, and mitigation of material risks.
• Support in incident management and response efforts, ensuring all incidents are reported and escalated to the group office when required.
• Contribute to risk-related projects and system enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance monitoring.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Group FWD, business units) and external parties (regulators, auditors).
• Mentor and supervise junior team members and provide guidance on risk and compliance best practices.
• Coordinate risk awareness programs, training sessions, and internal communications.
