Hong Leong Bank in Kuala Lumpur seeks a senior risk and compliance professional to lead validation of risk controls and regulatory processes. The role involves both qualitative and quantitative validation across Group Risk Management, ensuring accuracy of ICAAP, stress tests, and model outputs.
It also coordinates business continuity planning and responses during disruptions.
1. Qualitative Validation Conduct independent validation on RCSAs, CSAs, CIRs, Risk Policies, Reports and SOPs for all departments within Group Risk Management. This is to ensure the quality assurance of operational risk controls and mitigations are embedded in their respective area of operation. In addition, controls are robust, up to date and in compliance with the requirements stipulated by the Bank and regulators.
2. Quantitative Validation Review the ICAAP and Stress Test Validation requirements for verification performed by the team on the Bank's capital sufficiency to sustain its operations under normal and stressed market conditions. Review and highlight findings of Cash Flow and Fair Value Hedge Effectiveness Test Validation performed by the validation team. Assist the team to analyze and validate data and files provided by model owners to ensure all computations and statistical results of MFRS9 Models, Application & Behavioral Scorecards are accurate.
3. Business Continuity Plan Coordinator for Group Risk Management Assess the risk level situation and impact disruption for all departments and act as liaison person for all BCP activation procedures and responses.
1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Banking/Administration/Actuarial or its equivalent.
2. Minimum 8 years experience in banking/finance/audit/compliance with at least 3 years of experience in middle management in the areas of risk management, audit or compliance.
3. Strong knowledge of risk management procedures and regulatory requirements of banking and financial institutions.
