Job Responsibilities
  • Fully responsible for promoting compliance with the Poisons Act 1952, Poisons Regulations 1952, Community Pharmacy Benchmarking Guideline and other relevant laws
  • Oversee audit remediation in collaboration with the RPC and RSO divisions
  • Manage critical pharmacist regulatory processes, including practising licenses and professional association memberships
  • Spearhead university outreach and recruitment events to establish a premier pharmacy employer reputation
  • Assist the Pharmacy Division Director and Chief Pharmacist in related/ad-hoc tasks
  • Engage with the Retail Sales and Operations (RSO) team to follow up on audit non-compliance through reminders, corrective guidance and mediation of disputes
  • Collaborate with the Retail Policy and Compliance (RPC) team to define audit expectations by advising on "What Good Looks Like" standards and refining compliance interpretations
  • Review and evaluate advertorials and public-facing materials from suppliers to ensure compliance with the Medicine Advertisements Board (MAB) guidelines and KKLIU regulations, proposing alternative content as needed
  • Guide the Visual Merchandising Team on promotional material compliance and suggest corrective solutions when required, according to MAB and KKLIU regulations
  • Address pharmacy regulatory compliance inquiries and liaise with JKN Enforcement officers to support the RSO team
  • Advise on enforcement-related punitive actions and review written communications directed to JKN officers upon request
  • Maintain and update documentation for BIG and CARiNG compounds and related lists
  • Conduct regular training sessions on Pharmacy Regulatory Compliance to promote awareness and adherence to the Poisons Act 1952 and related regulations
  • Coordinate Pharmacy Affairs-related tasks such as ARC renewals, Licenses, Body Corporate updates, MPS membership applications and renewals
  • Co-supervise HR-related matters such as the hiring and onboarding process (including maintaining and arranging the provision of white coats, name tags and other required items), employee relations, performance management and talent development for retail pharmacists and PRPs, collaborating closely with HR personnel
  • Co-oversee PRP-related matters, including the hiring, submission of forms and supporting documents to LFM, KK attachments and MOU preparations
  • Work closely with the IPO Compliance team to prepare monthly reports on compliance to Licensing requirements, including Body Corporate amendments and ARC renewals
  • Collaborate with universities and pharmacy schools to conduct career talks and share experience with future pharmacists, supporting the company’s employer branding efforts and recruitment pipeline
  • Offer constructive training support, create informative reference materials, and share expertise to foster the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of pharmacists, upon request by BCA
  • Work collaboratively to provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Pharmacy & Training and the Chief Pharmacist
  • Provide assistance and follow-up on procedures and documentation regarding statutory management
  • Assist in any ad-hoc task assigned by the Pharmacy Division Director and the Chief Pharmacist or the Management
Job Requirements
