Job summary

Vinry Digital is seeking an experienced Manager in external audit with Malaysia/Singapore experience to lead outsourced professional assignments, oversee audit deliverables, and coordinate cross-border teams.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, stay current on ISAs and local regulations (MFRS/SFRS/IFRS), report to Engagement Partner and Malaysian Director, and contribute to practice development in a hybrid work setting based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as MIA, ACCA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, etc. (both fully qualified and semi‑qualified welcomed to apply)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional financial audit experience
• Competent command of professional English language skills
• Demonstrate competent application of ISAs, MFRS / SFRS / IFRS and knowledge of Companies Act provisions
• Willingness to learn rules and practices of foreign jurisdictions
• Experience in managing a portfolio of professional assignments and leading a team
• Experience in assignment planning, budgeted hours oversight and staffing
• Ability to work with senior licensed professionals and international clients
• High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced external auditor with Malaysian / Singaporean experience? Looking to progress further in your career while you intend to bring as much transferable skill possible to your next position?

Your Role

As a Manager, you will use your professional knowledge and experience with financial audits, team management, cross‑border coordination, and service delivery to optimize operational efficiency and client experience by:

• Leading the managerial aspects of the outsourced professional assignment from the international professional firm's team, including monitoring of service delivery to ensure strong deliverables
• Cultivating and maintaining good team‑working relationships with outsourcing clients
• Staying well-informed on current technical matters related to the jurisdiction of the portfolio assigned to you and your team
• Utilizing your leadership experience to mentor, train and develop other members of the team
• Leading practice development initiatives including culture building, recruiting, digital transformation, and iteration of processes
• In relation to engagement‑assignment reporting, you shall be reporting to the international firm's Engagement Partner of the specific portfolio/assignment
• In relation to Malaysian operational and technology matters, you shall be reporting to the Malaysian Director

The International BPS (Professional Firms) Team

Transcending the traditional concept of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), the BPS team specialises in working with our international professional firm clients to explore feasible use of new technologies that empower professional firms to improve operating effectiveness through process improvements, shared services, and outsourcing while delivering business performance and growth.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualification such as MIA, ACCA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, etc. (both fully qualified and semi‑qualified welcomed to apply)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional financial audit experience
• Competent command of professional English language skills
• Demonstrate competent application of ISAs, MFRS / SFRS / IFRS and good working knowledge of related provisions from the Companies Act
• For candidates with only Malaysian experience and professional knowledge, willingness to learn and train on rules and practices of foreign jurisdiction(s) is a must
• Experience in carrying a portfolio of professional assignments, ability to manage team members in ramping up productivity during peak period
• Experience in assignment planning, budgeted hours oversight and staffing of team members including time management and quality assurance for professional assignments
• Demonstrate confidence and maturity to work with senior licensed professionals
• Demonstrate high degree of emotional intelligence and cultural awareness to effectively manage international clients and diverse assignment team members
• Experience in mentoring, training and developing members of the team and participating in a performance review process
• Candidates seeking a promotion from their current position (e.g., Assistant Manager / Senior Supervisor) are encouraged to apply

Advantageous if you also possess one or few of the following

• Self‑driven and possess inclination towards use of technology for professional services

• Experience in coordination / management of international professional assignments
• Prior Singaporean external audit experience / working knowledge of Singaporean accounting standards
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

• Possess Singaporean accounting qualification (e.g., ISCA, CA Singapore or equivalent recognised by ISCA)
