Job summary

GrabInsure, a part of Grab Financial Group, is seeking a Manager of Insurance Procurement to lead regional insurance strategy from Malaysia. The role focuses on advising on risk management using insurance policies and coordinating end-to-end placement across the region.

You will report to the Head, Regional Insurance Operations in Malaysia and drive procurement, policy structuring, and involvement in strategic corporate risk projects, including captive and reinsurance matters.

Get to Know the Role

• We are looking to grow the team further and are looking for someone with a strong background in the insurance industry with extensive project and stakeholder management experiences.
• This role will be located out of Malaysia and will have three primary responsibilities:
  • acting as a key advisor and analyst for the Grab group's risk management using insurance policies;
  • Manage Grab's insurance policies across the region, including procurement and insurance structuring strategy;
  • Participate in key strategic projects for corporate risk management as and when they occur. This involves scope including but not limited to captive management and reinsurance management,
  • You will report to the Head, Regional Insurance Operations in Malaysia and will have a regional focus.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Risk management, insurance placement and structuring strategy:
  • Work with key stakeholders across different business units to address risk and insurance requirements with Grab.
  • Manage end-to-end process to place/renew insurance policies for Grab.
  • Provide insurance and claim advisory support across different units.
  • Facilitate underwriting process between business units and insurers/brokers
