Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia is seeking a Manager to lead the Entitlement processing and related daily entries for institutional clients. You will manage a 6+ person team in IOI City, Putrajaya, ensuring timely, accurate processing and effective risk controls in a global asset-servicing setting.

Responsibilities include performance management, process improvements, and building strong relationships with global partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education; minimum level of study as stated.
• Experience leading a team of 5+ and grooming junior staff.
• Extensive experience in Custody back/middle office asset servicing operations.
• Knowledge of Corporate Action and Income processes is beneficial.
• Strong command of English for European stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to ensure timely, accurate processing of Corporate Action Income events and daily entries; ensure client notification and/or payments.
• Drive operational effectiveness by monitoring performance against goals and implementing improvements.
• Identify risks and mitigate issues; maintain audit readiness and train team on procedures.
• Build and develop a high-performance team; conduct semi-annual performance reviews; ensure Business Recovery Planning.

As a Manager, you are responsible to provide clients with timely, accurate and efficient processing of all Entitlement events and associated daily entries and to ensure that the investor/client is notified and/or paid as appropriate, to manage Operational risk, development of the team’s operational capabilities and to optimize operational efficiency and to support the Senior Management of Custody Malaysia in the continuous development of efficient and effective organization with a high focus on risk mitigation.

Working Hours: 9:00AM – 6:00PM (Malaysia time)

What will you do?

• Lead the team in ensuring clients are provided with timely, accurate, and efficient processing of all Corporate Action Income events and associated daily entries. The team must ensure the client/ investor is notified and/or paid correctly & timely.
• Deliver on operational effectiveness by managing the performance of the team against goals and providing continuous improvement ideas.
• Manage risks by proactively identifying potential issues and mitigating them; strive for satisfactory audit results and train team continuously on accurate operational procedures.
• Build a high-performance team by hiring, training and developing them to deliver on overall operational goals; provide ongoing feedback and conduct formal performance reviews on a semi-annual basis; ensure Business Recovery Planning is conducted and tested on a regular basis.
• Provide strong leadership through promotion of values, communicating high-quality standards and developing yourself against the leadership model. Leading by example, you are expected to meet all deliverables as requested by the senior management.
• Management of resources to ensure that all daily tasks are completed to ensure high quality of BAU deliverables are met within the deadlines.
• Leverage operational data (eg metrics, KPI, tracker logs etc) in driving business decisions and team performance.

Application criteria

• Strong understanding in Corporate Action and Income of different markets and resourceful in navigating the organization
• Good command in English – ability to speak, write, converse with European stakeholders (both native and non-native English)
• Extensive experience in leading a team of 6 or more, and record of grooming multiple junior staff in their career including experience in performance management and career development planning.
• At least 5 years of experience working in Custody back office or Middle Office asset servicing operations
• Experience in managing end to end process of Corporate Action and Income.
• Knowledge to comprehend SWIFT messages
• Experience in managing end to end process of Corporate Action or Income
• Extensive experience in leading a team of 5 or more, or record of grooming multiple junior staff in their career
