Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join its corporate finance organization in Malaysia. The role focuses on preparing financial statements, tax reporting, and ensuring IFRS/US GAAP compliance, with month-end closing aligned to internal controls.

You will partner with TE business units across the region, collaborate with the shared services center in China, and assist the Southeast Asia controller with regional tasks and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• CPA or accounting degree from an established university.
• Experience with financial reporting and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for entities’ financial statements reporting packages, direct and indirect tax related reporting and ensure compliance with internal financial and controls policies, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Be an active business partner to TE’s business units and function in country and other countries.
• Required to work closely with shared services team from China.
• Assist Southeast Asia controller with ad-hoc tasks, support controlling activities within APAC region, and participate in regional continuous improvement projects.

Job Requirements

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for entities’ financial statements reporting packages, direct and indirect tax related reporting and ensure compliance with internal financial and controls policies, as well as applicable International Financial Reporting Standard (“IFRS”) and US GAAP. Observe and meeting internal month end and statutory compliance and filing deadline.
• Be an active business partner to TE’s business units and function in country and other countries.
• Required to work closely with shared services team from China.
• Assist Southeast Asia controller with ad-hoc task/assignment, support controlling activities within APAC region, as well as participating in regional continuous improvement projects.

What your background should look like

Qualifications:

• More than 8 years working experience in an MNC with responsibilities in finance operation, local and US GAAP statutory reporting and compliances.
• Qualified CPA or Accounting degree holder with established university
• Familiar with SAP ERP system
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
