Job summary

B. Braun Medical Industries Penang, the APAC regional HQ, is seeking a Manager- Digital Solution Delivery to lead end‑to‑end digital projects with cross‑functional teams.

You will coordinate Operations, Quality and Engineering, drive go‑live readiness, and manage vendor SLAs in a hybrid Malaysia environment. The role requires 5+ years in digital PMO leadership, experience with MES/LIMS/WMS and budgets, and PMO governance expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• PM certifications: PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum or PRINCE2 preferred.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (MedTech/Pharma) with FDA QMSR/ISO13485/GxP preferred.
• 5+ years in digital project management; 3+ years leading delivery teams.
• Proficient in scheduling tools such as MS Project or AzureDevOps.

Responsibilities

• Define project scopes, milestones, resources and risks for digital initiatives.
• Align Operations, Quality, Engineering and external vendors across sites.
• Manage vendor milestones, contracts and SLAs.
• Track project health using PEM-IT and report status to stakeholders.
• Lead go-live readiness reviews, cutover coordination and post‑implementation reviews.
• Support the site PMO and digital governance function.
• Oversee CapEx budget allocations for site digital projects.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor external vendor performance.

Your key responsibilities:

• Define project scopes, milestone schedules, resource plans, and risk logs for digital initiatives at BMI.
• Manage cross‑functional site alignment between Operations, Quality, Engineering, and external technical development teams.
• Manage vendor delivery milestones, contract deliverables, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Track and report project health using the Project Execution and Management system (PEM-IT).
• Lead local site go‑live readiness reviews, cutover coordination, and post‑implementation project reviews.
• Support the site PMO and digital governance function.
• Oversee total capital expenditure (CapEx) budget allocations for site digital projects.
• Manage contract negotiations and SLAs with external vendors.

What you will bring to the team:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Certifications: PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum, or PRINCE2 certifications (preferred).
• Industry Context: Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (MedTech, Pharma, Semi, Electronics) operating under FDA QMSR, ISO 13485, or GxP standards (preferred).
• PMO Tools & Methods: Applied Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, AzureDevOps).
• Delivery & Budget Control: Basic understanding of project financial tracking (CapEx/OpEx), milestone management, risk logs, and vendor SLA monitoring.
• Management Track Record: 5+ years of progressive experience in digital project management, PMO leadership, or IT/OT delivery, including 3+ years managing delivery teams or project portfolios.
• Portfolio & SLA Governance: Directing multi‑project digital portfolios, enforcing vendor SLAs, and managing fixed‑price statement‑of‑work (SOW) delivery.
• Proven Delivery Impact: Track record of delivering site digital initiatives (MES, LIMS, WMS, IoT) on time and within budget with zero unplanned plant downtime during cutover.
• Executive Financial Leadership: Managing multi‑year digital spend forecasts, CapEx/OpEx variance reporting, and vendor contract negotiations.
• Schedule & Milestone Tracking: Building project schedules, tracking milestones, and maintaining health dashboards.
• CapEx/OpEx Cost Control: Monitoring project spend, purchase orders, and invoices against baseline budgets.
• Risk & Issue Mitigation: Maintaining RAID logs and executing plans to prevent schedule delays.
• Vendor Coordination: Tracking third‑party vendor deliverables against agreed milestones and SLAs.
• Site Cutover Execution: Coordinating go‑live checklists, site readiness, and cutover tasks with plant teams.
• Portfolio Steering: Directing digital project portfolios and presenting status reports to Plant Leadership.
• Vendor & Contract Control: Enforcing SLAs, resolving scope disputes, and holding partners to fixed‑fee deliverables.
• Financial & Resource Optimization: Allocating site resources, forecasting CapEx/OpEx cash flow, and driving cost avoidance.
• Cutover Strategy: Leading site cutover plans, operational risk assessments, and zero‑downtime go‑lives.
• Cross‑Functional Alignment: Resolving delivery bottlenecks across IT/OT vendors, Operations, Quality, and Engineering
