Job summary

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd invites a seasoned professional to lead dealer network development across Malaysia and Thailand. You will plan expansion, evaluate new locations, and drive end-to-end outlet projects, ensuring alignment with CI standards and corporate guidelines.

The role requires strong project and stakeholder management, with travel to dealer sites as needed to deliver high-quality network growth and brand consistency across the PRO-NET network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5–8 years of experience in dealer development, network planning, or project management.
• Experience in automotive, retail, franchise or showroom/outlet development preferred.
• Willing to travel for site visits and dealer projects.

About The Role

Responsible for planning, developing and expanding PRO-NET’s dealer network, including new outlet setup, existing outlet upgrading and implementation of Corporate Identity (CI) standards. The role will manage dealer development projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timeline, budget and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute dealer network plans based on market potential, business requirements and network coverage.
• Identify and evaluate potential locations and dealer partners for network expansion.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and prepare recommendations for new dealer development.
• Lead end-to-end projects for new dealer outlet setup, relocation, renovation and upgrading.
• Manage project scope, timeline, budget, contractors, vendors and key stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Lead the implementation and rollout of PRO-NET Corporate Identity (CI) and dealer outlet standards across the network.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with approved outlet, branding and CI requirements.
• Work closely with dealers and internal functions including Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement and Legal to deliver dealer development projects.
• Monitor competitor network expansion and market trends to identify opportunities for network optimisation.
• Prepare project updates, network development reports and management recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve dealer development processes, cost efficiency and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Automotive or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in dealer development, network planning, retail expansion, project management, outlet development or related fields.
• Experience in automotive, retail, franchise or showroom/outlet development is preferred.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of site evaluation, renovation/fit-out and outlet development.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Corporate Identity / brand implementation is an advantage.
• Willing to travel for site visits and dealer projects.
