Job summary

S P Setia is seeking an experienced corporate finance professional in Shah Alam to shape and execute capital-raising, M&A, and joint ventures. You will liaise with lawyers, tax agents, investment banks and regulators to structure proposals and reports.

You will evaluate project viability with ROI and NPV analyses, advise on Bursa listing requirements, draft announcements, and help secure financing for property developments through loans and other instruments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in corporate finance, banking, or investment.
• Experience in corporate transactions such as acquisitions or joint ventures.
• Ability to assess corporate investment decisions and negotiate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing corporate finance strategy including capital raising and M&A.
• Evaluate ROI and NPV for new property development projects.
• Coordinate with lawyers, tax agents, banks, and regulators on proposals and reports.
• Advise on Main Market Listing Requirements for corporate transactions.
• Draft Bursa announcements for corporate transactions.
• Participate in overseas projects, REITs, and other corporate initiatives.
• Conduct analyses and feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
• Assist in structuring and securing financing for property developments.
• Build relationships with banks and financial institutions in Malaysia and the region.
• Negotiate terms for loans and banking services to support financing.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and execution of the company’s corporate finance strategy, including capital raising, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Evaluate the financial viability of new property development projects, including feasibility studies, return on investment (ROI), and net present value (NPV) analysis
• Liaise with external parties ranging from lawyers, tax agents, investment banks and regulators in analyzing and structuring proposals, as well as engage and liaise with the external advisers to prepare reports, transaction structures.
• Provide inputs and advise on Main Market Listing Requirements for corporate transactions.
• Drafting of Bursa announcement for the Company on corporate transactions.
• Actively involve in corporate investment decisions including overseas projects, REIT and any corporate initiatives.
• Conduct analysis, and feasibility studies to support investment decisions and project viability.
• Assist to structure and secure financing for property developments, including loans, bonds, and other financial instruments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial banks, investment banks, and other financial institutions in Malaysia and the region.
• Negotiate favorable terms for loans, credit facilities, and banking services to support project financing and operational needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate finance, banking, or investment, preferably in a listed entity
• Manage and executed corporate transaction such as acquisitions, joint ventures
• Experience is assessing corporate investment decisions and negotiation.
• Strong understanding of the Money Market Listing Requirements and Bursa matters for listed entities.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting tools.
