Planworth Global Factoring Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Manager, Construction – Contract Financing to lead cost assessments and risk evaluation for financing construction projects. You will verify payments, monitor budgets and ensure compliance with contractual terms.

As Manager, Construction – Contract Financing at Planworth, you will play a crucial role in evaluating project costs, verifying payment claims, and assessing financial risks for construction factoring. You will ensure that project financing decisions are backed by accurate cost analysis, contract verification, and risk mitigation strategies.
Evaluate Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and project budgets submitted by contractors/subcontractors.
Assess financial feasibility of construction projects for financing approval.
Provide recommendations on funding eligibility based on cost analysis.
Review and validate contractor and subcontractor payment claims before financing disbursement.
Conduct site visits (if necessary) to verify project progress and ensure claims align with completed work.
Prevent overpayment or fraudulent claims through accurate assessment.
Identify potential cost-related risks and financial red flags in project applications.
Ensure that projects comply with factoring guidelines and risk management policies.
Work closely with the credit, operations and sales team to evaluate project viability.
Analyse construction contracts (PAM, JKR, FIDIC) to determine financial obligations and risks.
Ensure payment terms, retention sums, and variations comply with contractual agreements.
Provide expert advice on contractual disputes related to project financing.
Track project cash flows, cost variations, and financial performance.
Provide regular reports loan status, project progress, and potential risks and insights to management for financing decisions.
Ensure proper documentation of cost assessments and project evaluations.
Regularly inspect and verify the physical progress of construction projects funded by loans.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, financial analysts, and legal teams to streamline project financing.
Communicate effectively with project team and financiers to ensure transparency to assist in resolving discrepancies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5-8 years relevant experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, project cost management, construction project evaluation, or technical due diligence.
Experience in a financial institution, property developer, main contractor, consultancy, or project management consultancy is preferred.
Strong analytical skills in cost evaluation, risk assessment, and contract analysis.
Knowledge of construction contracts (PAM, JKR, FIDIC) and project financing processes.
Proficiency in QS software (AutoCAD, CostX) and financial tools (Excel, financial modeling, SAP).
Ability to work in a fast-paced financial environment while ensuring accuracy in cost assessments.
