Job summary

Universal Robina Munchy's (URM) is seeking a Manager, Commercial Finance to partner with commercial teams and drive profitable growth through robust financial management, analysis, and data-driven decisions. The role will oversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, promotions, and trade spend, providing insights to stakeholders to influence strategic action.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in FMCG finance, a finance-related degree, and proficiency with MS Office (Power BI a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• CIMA qualification or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG Finance / Commercial Finance / Finance Business Partnering.
• Strong understanding of P&L, profitability, trade spend, promotions, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Data-driven with strong attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to analysis.
• Inquisitive mindset with the ability to question assumptions, identify the “why” behind the numbers, and uncover business opportunities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point. Knowledge of Power BI is an added advantage

Responsibilities

• P&L & Profitability Management: Own and manage business P&L performance, profitability, and key financial KPIs. Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year. Identify key financial risks and opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Monthly Financial Review & Business Insights: Analyse P&L performance and explain key variances, trends, and business drivers. Provide clear and insightful financial commentary to support management decision-making.
• Promotion & Trade Spend Management: Prepare and review promotion P&L, including volume, sales, trade investment, and profitability assumptions. Evaluate promotional activities from a financial and ROI perspective.
• Financial Modelling & Decision Support: Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and commercial decisions. Provide financial recommendations for new initiatives, pricing, promotions, investments, and business opportunities.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Drive financial forecasting and budgeting processes for the business. Develop robust financial assumptions in collaboration with stakeholders. Monitor forecast accuracy and identify key gaps and risks.

The Manager, Commercial Finance is responsible to be key business partner responsible for driving profitable growth through strong financial management, commercial analysis, and data-driven decision-making. What are the Job Responsibilities?

Evaluate promotional activities from a financial and ROI perspective. Analyse trade spend effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve investment efficiency. Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve promotional effectiveness and commercial discipline. Support post-promotion evaluation and translate learnings into future planning.
• Financial Modelling & Decision Support : Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and commercial decisions. Provide financial recommendations for new initiatives, pricing, promotions, investments, and business opportunities. Challenge assumptions and assess financial implications before business decisions are made. Act as a trusted finance business partner to commercial stakeholders.
• Forecasting & Budgeting : Drive financial forecasting and budgeting processes for the business .Develop robust financial assumptions in collaboration with stakeholders. Monitor forecast accuracy and identify key gaps and risks.
