This role focuses on shaping and designing enterprise managed security solutions for customers across Australia and New Zealand, combining cybersecurity, managed services and solution architecture to deliver tailored security offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience designing managed security services within MSSP, GSI, tech vendor or cybersecurity consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of managed security services for new opportunities and existing engagements.
• Design end-to-end SOC, SIEM, SOAR, MDR, XDR and EDR solutions.
• Develop security service propositions incorporating Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Cortex/XSIAM and Google Security Operations.
• Lead customer workshops, technical discovery sessions and solution presentations.
• Translate customer security requirements into scalable managed security service architectures.
• Support pre-sales activities, including proposals and solution presentations.

Managed Security Services Solution Architect

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global technology and IT services organisation to identify an experienced Managed Security Services Solution Architect to join its APAC Cybersecurity Practice, based in Kuala Lumpur.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and designing enterprise managed security solutions for customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Working at the intersection of cybersecurity, managed services and solution architecture, you will lead technical pre sales engagements, develop security service propositions and bring together a broad range of cybersecurity capabilities to deliver tailored solutions for enterprise customers.

The Role

You will take ownership of the architecture and solution design of managed security services, with a particular focus on Security Operations Centres (SOC), SIEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR and Managed Detection and Response (MDR).

You will work closely with sales, technical delivery teams, global security specialists and technology partners to develop commercially viable and operationally effective managed security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of managed security services for new business opportunities and existing customer engagements.
• Design end to end SOC, SIEM, SOAR, MDR, XDR and EDR solutions.
• Develop security service propositions incorporating Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Palo Alto Cortex/XSIAM and Google Security Operations.
• Lead customer workshops, technical discovery sessions and solution presentations.
• Translate customer security requirements into scalable managed security service architectures.
• Support pre sales activities, including technical proposals, solution presentations, service design and commercial inputs.
• Collaborate with global and regional cybersecurity teams to integrate security capabilities into managed service offerings.
• Contribute to the development of automation and AI enabled security operations.
• Support service transition, operational readiness and handover to delivery teams.

About You

You will be an experienced cybersecurity professional with a background in managed security services, solution architecture or cybersecurity pre sales.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience designing managed security services within an MSSP, global systems integrator, technology vendor or cybersecurity consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of SOC operations, SIEM/SOAR, MDR, XDR and EDR technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR, or comparable platforms such as Palo Alto Cortex/XSIAM or Google Security Operations.
• Experience leading technical pre sales engagements and presenting solutions to enterprise customers.
• Understanding of managed security service delivery models, operational requirements and service architecture.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to translate technical requirements into viable customer solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to engage confidently with senior technology and security stakeholders.
