Job summary

Vicinity Studio seeks a Producer & Business Development Lead (Malaysia) to grow the Malaysia client base across brands, agencies, corporates and government-linked organisations, and to lead end-to-end productions from brief to handover.

You will build relationships, lead pitches, scope projects and manage budgets while coordinating with the Singapore team. The role demands 7+ years of video production experience and a strong Malaysia network.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in video or content production with end-to-end project leadership.
• Proven client-facing experience: pitches, account management or BD.
• Strong network across Malaysia's production, agency and corporate scene.
• Good commercial sense: budgeting, negotiating and closing deals.
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow Vicinity's Malaysia client base across brands, agencies, corporates and government-linked orgs.
• Lead pitches, scope projects and prepare proposals, quotes and budgets.
• Produce end-to-end projects from brief to delivery, including pre/post production and handover.
• Hire and manage local crew, freelancers and vendors; keep projects on time and on budget.
• Be main contact for Malaysian clients; coordinate with Singapore team.
• Identify and convert new opportunities into repeat business.
