Job summary

Ansell is seeking an Assoc Specialist, General Maintenance to be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. The role maintains and troubleshoots manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utility systems to ensure smooth plant operations with minimal downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate shutdown activities, and ensure electrical safety and regulatory compliance while supervising contractors and driving continuous improvement through RCA and reliability projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, utilities, or a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment and utility systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Good communication and contractor management skills.
• A team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns in production and utility systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure minimal downtime and support continuous production operations.
• Maintain plant utility systems, including LV electrical distribution systems, air compressors, HVAC, water supply.
• Monitor utility consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs and coordinate shutdown activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and equipment service histories; ensure spare parts availability.
• Ensure electrical work complies with safety standards; conduct risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Support EHS initiatives, audits, and compliance activities; investigate electrical incidents.
• Supervise contractors performing electrical installation and maintenance; review quality of work.
• Participate in RCA for equipment failures and implement upgrades to improve reliability.
