Job summary

Scania Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform high-quality maintenance and repairs on Scania vehicles. This role emphasizes safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to defined processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction and Scania’s profitability.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will secure the right tools and spare parts, read and execute work orders, prepare vehicles, conduct inspections, and communicate any faults to the foreman or service advisor.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle technician experience or equivalent qualification.
• Diploma or Certificate in related field (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia/Vocational Institutes).
• Driving License, and heavy vehicle license will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Secure that right information, tools and spare parts are available.
• Read and understand work order; start up work order and collect information.
• Prepare vehicle/ component and perform maintenance or repair.
• Complete visual inspections and search for additional information in systems.
• Inform Foreman/Service Advisor about additional faults or findings and complete handover.

• Collect work order
• Read and understand work order
• Start up work order
• Collect additional information
• Secure access to right tools
• Pick up spare parts
• During Maintenance or Repair Event

• Prepare vehicle/ prepare component
• Complete visual inspections
• Search for additional information in systems
• Secure spare parts for additional jobs
• Perform maintenance or repair on vehicle/component
• Manage deviations
• Return not used spare parts
• Clean exchange parts
• Return special tools
• Clean work area
• Restore vehicle to handed-in condition

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle technician, equivalent experience or qualification.
• Diploma or Certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia/Vocational Institutes).
• Driving License, and heavy vehicle license will be an added advantage.
• Experience in a commercial vehicle (kenderaan perdagangan) setup will be an added advantage.
