Job summary

Gradiant Malaysia Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operation and upkeep of water and wastewater treatment systems.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with SOPs to keep plant performance at optimal levels. Work involves coordinating with team members on shift handovers, maintaining accurate logs, and proactively identifying potential failures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and SOPs.
• Proactive, self‑driven with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure operation follows SOPs and achieves peak performance.
• Adhere to safety policies as stated in Health & Safety Procedures and IMS.
• Maintain equipment condition reports and maintenance trackers.
• Manage spares/inventory and minimize downtime.
• Generate maintenance/defect/service/incident reports as instructed.
• Daily activity logging and shift handovers.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring, operation & maintenance of Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems

Manages and supervises all plant and equipment repair and maintenance activities performed on electrical, chemical, and mechanical equipment.

To plan and execute preventive maintenance schedule to minimize the plant downtime.

Responsible to ensure the operation of the plant following Standard Operating Procedure (S.O.P.) and the performance at optimum level.

Follow and adhere strictly to all safety aspect as stated in client’s Health & Safety Procedures, company’s Integrated Management System and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its Regulations.

To ensure corrective maintenance is completed within given timeline as per superior instructions.

To keep up to date all equipment condition reports and maintenance trackers.

To ensure daily inspection logsheets are fulfilled.

To Manage spares/equipment/fitting/materials/consumables inventory and keep up to date.

To minimize downtime for operations.

To generate maintenance/defect/service/incident reports as per instructions from superior.

Report abnormalities to superior immediately

Ensure site compliance to GMP and good housekeeping practice (minimal 95% satisfaction)

Ensure IETS compliance to DOE Standards for final discharge.

Approach and notify supervisor for anything related to Modifications/ Breakdowns.

Consistent interaction with teammate. (Shift Handovers)

Daily activities logging.

To meet all HR requirements for In/out attendance and all company policies.

Servicing & calibrations for instruments subject to superior’s instructions.

Regular status updates on messaging groups or common medium of communications.

Adhoc Maintenance activities support & troubleshooting to ensure continuity of the operations.

Requirements:

Minimal requirements for SPM/ SKM in any related field.

Minimum 1-2 years working experience.

Must be self-oriented and willing to work under minor supervision.

Energetic, independent, target-oriented, self-motivated & disciplined.

Good team player.

Must possess own transportation & smart mobile phone.

Able to work on rotating shifts.

Able to read & write in Bahasa Melayu / English.
