Job summary

Tamasek Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and improve plating lines, machines, and related production equipment to minimise downtime and support smooth manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with production and engineering teams, perform preventive maintenance, carry out breakdown responses, and contribute to equipment reliability, spare parts planning, and maintenance documentation in a manufacturing plant environment.

Qualifications

• At least SPM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Engineering, Maintenance, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in plating lines, plating machines, or manufacturing production equipment.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pumps, motors, rectifiers, tanks, piping, filters, scrubbers, wastewater-related systems, and chemical process equipment.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair work, machine improvement, and breakdown support independently.
• Relevant working experience in manufacturing, plating, surface treatment, chemical process, or related industries is preferred.
• Hands-on, responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with production, quality, maintenance, safety, and management teams.

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure machines operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Education

About you

Possess at least SPM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Engineering, Maintenance, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in plating lines, plating machines, or manufacturing production equipment.

Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pumps, motors, rectifiers, tanks, piping, filters, scrubbers, wastewater-related systems, and chemical process equipment.

Able to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair work, machine improvement, and breakdown support independently.

Relevant working experience in manufacturing, plating, surface treatment, chemical process, or related industries is preferred.

Hands-on, responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with production, quality, maintenance, safety, and management teams.

Able to follow company procedures, safety requirements, and compliance standards.
