Job summary

Renesas Electronics Malaysia in Bayan Lepas is seeking an engineering professional to maintain front-of-line manufacturing equipment, ensure machine stability, and coordinate cross-functional teams to support production and new product introduction.

You will mentor peers, implement 5S/3Tei practices, uphold ISO and IATF standards, and contribute to cost reduction and investment initiatives while enhancing safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Certifications in Maintenance or Machine Reliability (e.g., TPM, CMMS).
• Experience with SPS processes and factory equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Machine stability and preventive maintenance for front-of-line equipment.
• Production support and new product setup and relocation.
• Cost and investment management for capacity expansion and budgeting.
• Mentor and train peers; develop skills in AI and Power Automation.
• Safety, SOP adherence, and environmental, health and safety management.
• Maintain 5S & 3Tei; update ISO and IATF documentation.

Job description

Providing full support to the company and superiors to achieve organizational objectives, coordinating effectively with peers across departments, and offering guidance to subordinates. Ensuring smooth collaboration, enhancing teamwork, and fostering a productive work environment to meet departmental goals efficiently while maintaining strong communication and operational effectiveness within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Stability & Maintenance– Preferably Front of Line manufacturing process related machinery such as Dicing, Pellet Bonder & Wire Bonder. Develop and review PM standards, coordinate major machine repairs, and ensure machine stability through improvement activities.
• Production & New Product Support– Support manufacturing plans, assist in new product development, and perform machine setup and relocation.
• Cost & Investment Management– Implement cost reduction projects, propose and execute capacity expansion investments, and assist in budget planning.
• Training & Communication– Mentor and train peers and technicians, maintain professional communication across all departments, and develop new skills in AI, Power Automation, and emerging technologies.
• Safety & Compliance– Adhere to safety regulations, follow standard operating procedures, and manage environmental, safety, and health concerns.
• Management Systems & Documentation– Maintain 5S & 3Tei practices, update documentation systems, and actively implement ISO and IATF management system requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Certifications in Maintenance or Machine Reliability (e.g., TPM, CMMS).

Skills:

• SPS Process & Equipment Technical Competency – Possess comprehensive knowledge of SPS product assembly processes and associated manufacturing equipment, including ASMPT Solder Printers, ViTrox Inspection Systems, Canon Bonding Platforms, and 3S Reflow Systems. Capable of leading troubleshooting activities, implementing machine and process improvements, enhancing preventive maintenance effectiveness, improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting production capacity expansion initiatives while ensuring optimal product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment and machinery.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
