Job summary

DXC Technology in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver software solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, and ensure successful delivery.

You will mentor team members with regular one-on-one meetings and performance assessments, and contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, supporting alignment of technology with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience; 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience overseeing teams and projects.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.
• Strong debugging and communication skills.
• Ability to manage software projects and resources effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Experience in a managerial role, overseeing teams and/or projects
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to manage software projects and resources effectively

Other Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
