Job summary

Air Products Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Malaysia to safely operate and maintain production machinery as per orders and drawings. The role supports manufacturing of packed components, shell sections, and related parts, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and timely delivery.

You will monitor performance, perform basic maintenance, and document quality checks while collaborating with supervisors and maintenance staff to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
• Basic computer literacy for CNC and automated machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned production machinery safely, correctly and efficiently.
• Operate packing line, rolling, shearing, punching, press brake and other production machines.
• Perform machine operations according to production orders, drawings and instructions.
• Monitor machine performance to meet delivery dates and quality requirements.
• Perform basic machine inspection, cleaning, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Check finished products using measuring tools and quality-control methods.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, cleanliness and product quality during production.
• Report abnormalities, damage or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping around machinery and area.
• Follow safety, quality, and workshop rules; participate in continual improvement.

***POSITION SUMMARY*** PurposeTo safely operate and maintain assigned production machinery to manufacture products according to production orders, engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and delivery requirements.Nature and ScopeThe Machine Operator may operate the packing line, shell rolling machine, shearing machine, punching machine, press brake machine and other assigned production machinery.The position supports the manufacture of structured packing, shell sections, rolled pipes, column internal parts and other production components. The operator is responsible for meeting the required dimensions, cleanliness, quality, quantity and production schedule.***PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES***1. Operate assigned production machinery safely, correctly and efficiently.2. Operate the packing line, rolling, shearing, punching, press brake and other production machines based on training and authorization.3. Perform machine operations according to production orders, engineering drawings, work instructions and relevant documents.4. Monitor machine performance and ensure production output meets delivery dates and customer quality requirements.5. Perform basic machine inspection, cleaning, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.6. Check completed products using the appropriate measuring tools and quality-control methods.7. Ensure dimensional accuracy, repeatability, cleanliness, and product quality during production.8. Identify and report machine abnormalities, equipment damage, quality problems and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.9. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness around the machine and production area.10. Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, production instructions and workshop rules.11. Participate actively in continuous-improvement activities, safety programs and workplace training.12. Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, maintenance personnel and production team members.13.
