Gen in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who can build and maintain production ML models, frame business problems, and lead end-to-end ML workflows in a fast-paced environment. You will prototype, implement and optimize models to deliver measurable business value.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps to ensure robust model governance, automate pipelines, and uphold test-driven development practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical, statistical or actuarial background.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning, predictive analytics and statistical modelling.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Adept at problem solving and troubleshooting using both textbook methods and novel viewpoints.
• Proficient with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM.
• Preferably have experience with MLOps tools such as DVC, MLFlow, Metaflow, Seldon, BentoML.
• Preferably familiar and have experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Solid communication and collaboration skills.

• Research, build and design machine learning systems and models that solve business problems.
• Assess, understand and analyse data to select appropriate datasets for modelling.
• Identify, prototype and implement machine learning algorithms and tools to improve products.
• Design, execute and monitor machine learning experiments and metrics.
• Perform statistical analysis to evaluate modelling improvements.
• Automate, architect and orchestrate ML processes and pipelines.
• Monitor, optimise and maintain ML solutions in production.
• Enrich libraries and frameworks to empower model development.
• Collaborate with MLOps Engineers and Data Scientists on system designs.
• Enforce test-driven development and best practices to reduce technical debt.
• Develop tools and internal libraries for model governance.
