Job summary

Meinhardt (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Inspector of Works to monitor quality control of Contractor’s performance, witness and sign off inspection forms, and liaise with the Consultant on site matters. The role requires coordinating with engineers and ensuring compliance with project specifications on railway works.

Applicants should hold a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, be registered with BEM as Inspector of Works or Graduate Engineer, and preferably have prior clerk of works

Qualifications

• Diploma/advanced diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Registration with BEM as Inspector of Works or Graduate Engineer is required.
• Preferred experience as Inspector of Works/ Clerk of Works in a consulting engineering firm for railway projects.
• Languages required: English and Bahasa Melayu.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality control of Contractor’s performance with respect to specified materials, workmanship and construction methods.
• Witness and sign off all inspection forms.
• Administer day-to-day matters arising between Consultant and Contractor on unspecified elements of works.
• Provide regular reports on findings and site activities to all parties.
• Direct the Contractor on variations and rectifications to meet Consultant requirements.
• Coordinate with Design Office Team Leader/ Project Engineer on site technical duties.
• Verify progress claims and sign CCC forms.
