Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable professional to support the data center project lifecycle, from commissioning to certification. You will coordinate with site teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to safety standards, while reviewing technical drawings and specifications and preparing reports.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, risk assessment, and effective communication with stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• CIDB Green Card valid and active.
• Experience in data center construction, commissioning, and project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in all T&C activities from L1 to L5 levels.
• Attend T&C meetings and participate in script development.
• Conduct inspections and prepare ITP checklists.
• Carry out risk assessments for data center operations and safety compliance.
• Execute, direct, and coordinate construction of engineering projects within the data center.
• Coordinate with site team and vendors to meet T&C requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and set up test instruments.
• Complete commissioning activities from Cx1 to Cx5 and IST per GC master program.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain certificates and approvals.
• Prepare forms and documentation for submissions and ensure standards for T&C milestones.
• Evaluate and prepare technical specifications, drawings, and calculations.
• Monitor schedule adherence for project execution.
• Provide training to end-users on data center systems.
• Attend weekly site coordination and commissioning meetings.

• Involvement in all T&C activities, ranging from L1 to L5 levels.
• Attending T&C meetings and participating in script development.
• Conduct inspections and prepare Inspection Test Plan (ITP) checklists.
• Carry out risk assessments related to data center operations and safety compliance with project requirements.
• Execute, direct, and coordinate the construction of engineering projects within the data center.
• Coordinate with the site team and vendors to meet T&C requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and set up test instruments.
• Complete commissioning activities from Cx1 to Cx5 stages and Integrated System Testing (IST) as per the General Contractor (GC) master program.
• Liaise with all relevant statutory authorities to obtain necessary certificates and approvals.
• Complete all required forms and documentation for submissions and ensure the documentation meets the necessary standards for achieving T&C milestones.
• Evaluate and prepare technical specifications, engineering drawings, and calculations.
• Monitor and ensure that projects are executed within the stipulated schedule.
• Provide training to end-users and operators on data center systems and operations.
• Attend weekly site coordination meetings, commissioning (CX) meetings, and other relevant project discussions.

Requirements

• Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Data Center Management, or a related field is typically required.
• Accreditation: Must hold a valid and active CIDB Green Card.
• Experience: Prior experience in data center construction, commissioning, and project management is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and conducting risk assessments.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and liaising with various stakeholders.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams and coordinating with external vendors and authorities.
• Problem Solving Skills: Address any issues that may impact project timelines.
