Job summary

BSD Consultancy Sdn Bhd provides sustainability advisory from early design to handover, helping achieve GBI, LEED, GreenRE and other certifications. The team integrates sustainable principles with architects, engineers and contractors, ensuring submissions meet certification bodies' requirements.

The role emphasizes energy modeling, performance optimization, and ongoing training for project teams to stay ahead of evolving green regulations and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Design, Architecture, or related field.
• LEED AP or GreenRE Manager or WELL AP certifications are desirable.
• Experience in M&E consultancy and green certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of energy modeling, commissioning and sustainable building practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Passion for sustainability and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide green/sustainability advisory from pre-construction through design and construction to project handover.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to integrate sustainable design principles.
• Liaise with project teams to submit documentation to certification bodies.
• Conduct energy modeling, simulations and analyses to optimize building performance.
• Review materials and systems to ensure alignment with sustainability goals.
• Perform site checks and inspections to monitor progress and compliance.

Job description

M&E Consultant/ Green Building Consultant/ Carbon Consultant

Provide green/ sustainability advisory services from pre-construction to detailed design and construction design until project completion and successfully handover. Develop and implement strategies for achieving green building certifications such as GBI, LEED, GreenRE, and other relevant certification bodies.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate sustainable design principles into building projects. Liaise with project teams to complete all required submissions to certification bodies.

(if required) Conduct energy modeling, simulations, analysis to optimize building performance and energy audit.

Review and approve materials and systems to ensure compliance with sustainability goals.

Manage project timelines and ensure that sustainability objectives are met within budget and schedule. Perform site checks and inspections to monitor construction progress and adherence to sustainable design specifications.

Provide training and support to project teams on sustainable design practices and technologies.

Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in sustainable design and construction.

Qualifications: Must Have-

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Added Advantage If Have -

Professional certifications such as LEED AP, GreenRE Manager, or WELL AP are highly desirable.

Working experience in M&E Consultancy and Green Certification Company

Strong knowledge of energy modeling, commissioning, and sustainable building practices.
