Job summary

STAR GLORY ASIA (M) SDN. BHD. in Selangor is hiring a Logistics Assistant to drive the company lorry, transport and deliver goods to designated warehouses, outlets, suppliers and customers.

You will verify instructions and documents before departure, confirm correct items and quantities, obtain proofs of delivery, and report delays or issues to your supervisor. The role requires a valid GDL/E License and at least 2 years of lorry driving or warehouse experience; you should be physically fit,

Job description

Drive the assigned company lorry to transport and deliver goods to designated warehouses, retail outlets, suppliers, customers, and other approved locations.

Ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely, accurately, and within the scheduled timelines.

Verify delivery instructions, delivery orders, transfer documents, and other relevant transportation documents before departure.

Ensure the correct goods, quantities, and destinations are verified before loading and delivery.

Obtain acknowledgement of receipt, signatures, stamps, or other proof of delivery from the receiving party.

Report delivery delays, route disruptions, accidents, or other transportation issues promptly to the supervisor.

Comply with road traffic laws, company driving procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.

Warehouse Operations and Stock Handling

Assist with receiving, checking, picking, packing, loading, unloading, and arranging goods within the warehouse.

Verify item descriptions, quantities, packaging conditions, and supporting documents against delivery orders or transfer documents.

Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage, loss, contamination, or misplacement during warehouse operations and transportation.

Assist with stock counts, inventory checks, stock transfers, and warehouse housekeeping activities.

Ensure goods are properly secured and arranged during loading to prevent movement or damage while in transit.

Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages, and excess quantities to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Follow established warehouse procedures and safety requirements when handling goods and operating equipment.

Requirements

Possess a valid GDL (Goods Driving Licence) / E License.

Minimum 2 years of working experience in lorry driving, delivery, transportation, or warehouse operations is preferred.

Experience in loading, unloading, stock handling, delivery documentation, and warehouse activities will be an advantage.

Basic understanding of vehicle inspection, maintenance requirements, road safety, and transportation procedures.

Able to read and understand delivery instructions, stock documents, and basic operational records.

Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and warehouse duties when required.

Willing to work overtime, travel to different delivery locations, and support operational requirements when necessary.

Reliable, punctual, honest, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
