Job summary

Flex is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to manage inbound and outbound shipments from the Mechanical Plant Batu Kawan, Penang. You will plan routes, monitor compliance, and optimize freight costs while coordinating with drivers and carriers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 6 years in logistics or supply chain operations with MRP system experience. We offer life insurance, medical benefits, allowances and bonuses, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Direct expediting export correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections.
• Arrange shipping details such as export licenses, customs declarations, and packing, shipping, and routing of product. Monitors export license and compliance.
• Investigate and recommend transportation and freight costs as well as appropriate routing and carriers to be used.
• Provide cost effective, efficient and traceable movement of company products inbound and outbound.
• Expedite import-export arrangements and maintains current information on import-export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions.
• Audit freight bills and prepare and negotiations claims.
• Interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
• Schedules company vehicles for service and maintenance checks and ensures proper insurance.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Logistics Supervisor located in Mechanical Plant Batu Kawan, Penang.

Plans, schedules, and routes in-bound and out-bound domestic and international shipments of freight, using knowledge of postal regulations, tariffs and company policies.

What a typical day looks like:

• May direct others in expediting export correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections.
• Arranges shipping details such as export licenses, customs declarations, and packing, shipping, and routing of product. Monitors export license and compliance.
• Investigates and recommends transportation and freight costs as well as appropriate routing and carriers to be used.
• Provides cost effective, efficient and traceable movement of company products both in-bound and out-bound.
• Expedites import-export arrangements and maintains current information on import-export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions.
• Audits freight bills and prepare and negotiates claims
• Interprets laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
• Schedules company vehicles for service and normal maintenance checks and is in charge for ensuring that all are registered and have the proper insurance.
• Ensures all drivers are qualified and have the proper licenses.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Requires Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience and training.
• Requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations with advanced experience using MRP systems.
• Possesses a strong understanding of basic logistics knowledge, including inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance, and freight cost calculations.
