Job summary

PSA BDP in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our operations team in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle order processing, data entry, customs declarations, and billing support in our Meridian system.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics, with 1–3 years in freight forwarding (export preferred). You should be able to multitask, work in a team, and coordinate with transporters and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or equivalent background.
• 1-3 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry, preferably export department.
• Able to multitask and stay back if unable to complete jobs within working hours.
• Able to work as a team and follow team lead’s instructions.
• Able to monitor work status after working hours if required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify customer shipping instructions and documents.
• Open and register jobs in Meridian, the in-house system.
• Ensure accurate data entry of shipment details and customer information.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation records.
• Prepare and declare customs forms in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Submit declarations and monitor status until approval is obtained.
• Liaise with customs authorities or brokers when clarification is required.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
• Submit ISD in the port system and monitor container movement.
• Coordinate with transporters and warehouse teams for timely movement.
• Follow up on delays or discrepancies and verify billing details.

Key Responsibilities

A. Order Processing & Job Creation

C. Port & Container Monitoring

• Submit ISD (Import/Export Shipping Declaration) in the port system.
• Monitor container movement from release until gate‑in at port.
• Coordinate with transporters and warehouse teams to ensure timely movement.
• Follow up on any delays or discrepancies.
• Verify shipment details for billing accuracy.
• Prepare billing instructions and support invoicing process.
• Assist in job closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational and billing records.
